Abstract: 

This article examines the unique mission of The National Link Coalition (hereinafter “the Link”) and the likely consequences of cuts to the nonprofit organization from its primary funding source, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The Link is devoted to highlighting the link between animal cruelty and domestic violence, child maltreatment, and elder abuse. The organization, founded in 2008, is the only international educational and advocacy organization working to prevent animal cruelty, domestic violence, child maltreatment, and elder abuse by showing the intersections between these practices.
