Abstract: 

The state of Tennessee recently enacted a landmark law requiring GPS tracking of certain violent domestic abusers who are out on bail. This article summarizes the main features of this new law, which is mandatory rather than discretionary for judges, and provides some background on other similar measures in Connecticut that have been shown to dramatically reduce homicides from domestic violence.
