Abstract: 

This snapshot highlights the progress that has been made in extending access to MOUDs in America’s correctional facilities. It summarizes federal efforts on the issue, the reviews states in which there have been policy and practice changes, discusses major legislation, litigation, and regulatory/executive actions. This snapshot is accurate as of December 2022.
