Abstract:
Aaron J. Masino describes the evolution of clinical decision-making from reliance on anecdotal experience to evidence-based medicine and, more recently, to precision medicine driven by large-scale biomedical data. Advances such as the Human Genome Project and widespread adoption of electronic medical records have enabled clinicians to incorporate genetic, environmental, and clinical information into patient care. However, the growing complexity of medical data exceeds human analytic capacity, prompting the development of artificial intelligence tools to assist diagnosis and treatment decisions. Emerging technologies—including AI-driven predictive models and wearable health monitoring devices—promise to further transform personalized medicine and clinical decision-making.Keywords: Evidence-Based Medicine; Precision Medicine; Artificial Intelligence; Clinical Decision-Making; Genomic Medicine
