Abstract:

Managing change is a constant challenge for public and nonprofit leaders, and the field of community corrections is no exception to this trend. To help community corrections organizations manage change successfully, this paper recommends using the Strategic Triangle framework presented by Mark Moore (1995). The Strategic Triangle focuses managerial attention on three key areas of public and nonprofit management: €¢ Public value creation; €¢ Political management; and €¢ Building operational capacity to deliver value.
