Abstract:
A suit filed in Maryland late last year now appears to be shaping up as the next big development in the field of court decisions in which donors or their representatives have claimed that a charitable donee has used contributed property in a way that goes beyond what was intended. Usually, we discuss only court decisions that represent the final result in the case, but this pending case promises to be of major interest to advisors who help plan charitable gifts. Keywords: Elizabeth Banks, Belward Farm, Johns Hopkins University
