Abstract: 

The ongoing recession perhaps drives some previously honest people to engage in financial misconduct—or requires criminals to develop new forms of criminality, such as PPACA scams. This article summarizes recent research on financial elder abuse from the Investor Protection Trust, and on undue influence, from the Journal of the American Society on Aging.
