Abstract:
In the first half of 2012, Connecticut handed down a major decision on the rights of conservatees. The California Court of Appeal decided a number of guardianship cases (in California, the type of financial supervision of elderly and disabled persons that is called “guardianship” in other states is referred to as “conservatorship”), as well as cases about abuse of institutionalized persons.Keywords: rights of conservatees; California cases on guardianship; Gross v.
