Abstract: 

A previous article was designed to analyze sexual abuse reports, investigations, and case outcomes involving vulnerable adults residing in care facilities. That article provided the rationale, methods, information on definitions used, and anticipated outcomes of this University of Kentucky project. The study utilized three methods, including a Sexual Abuse Survey that was completed by APS and regulatory staff in five states. Data were prospectively collected on all cases of alleged sexual abuse of vulnerable adults residing in care facilities reported to civil abuse investigatory authorities during a six month period in 2005. This article continues the discussion, providing selected findings from the analysis of survey results. Included are charts tabulating “Alleged and Confirmed Sexual Victims and Perpetrators” by sex and “Alleged and Confirmed Sexual Perpetrators” by Position or Relationship.
