Abstract: 

The present piece reviews the Kyle Correctional Center’s in-prison therapeutic community (IPTC) substance abuse treatment program. The Texas-based program shows immense promise in reducing recidivism when compared to untreated populations. Program phases and the therapeutic community model are discussed.
