Abstract:
In this issue, Kimberly Sperber’s article “Contemplating the Role of Community Corrections at the Intersection of Public Health and Public Safety” is an important contribution to the discussion about the role of community corrections in a post-pandemic world. A brief article by Ricciardelli and Bucerius on “Canadian Prisons in the time of COVID-19: Recommendations for the Pandemic and Beyond” brings an international voice to help us enlarge the scope of the discussions, while Dorman, Boros, and Gigoyan contribute an informative piece on an innovative program getting results in Ohio, “An Exploration of the Partners in Parenting Curriculum in a Community Setting.” Our book review editor Russ Immarigeon reviews seven recently published books that are worth exploring for a rethinking and rebalancing of our criminal and correctional systems. Keywords: Pandemic, Economic Disparities, Community Corrections and Public Health, Parenting Skills, COVD-19 and Corrections
