USA PATRIOT Act Monitor News Release: FATF To Revise 40 Recomendations

The Financial Action Task Force will be meeting this week in Berlin and will adopt a revision of the Forty Recommendations against money laundering. The revision, according to a release posted on the FATF website ( will establish consistent due diligence obligations for financial and non-financial sectors. The organization's 14th annual report will contain a summary of the AML systems of the Russian Federation and South Africa, which are applying for membership in the organization. A press conference on Friday, June 20, will describe the results of the plenary meeting.
